Over the last few years, especially with my youngest child, I’ve tried to be more mindful of the types of products we use around the house and in and on our bodies. I’ve moved toward a more natural lifestyle and have slowly been making changes to our kitchen pantry and medicine cabinet, switching out processed foods for more natural ones, eliminating artificial dyes and sugars and completely overhauling our personal care items.
Now, rather than reach for a chemically-laden cough suppressant or toxic chest rub, I’ve been incorporating the use of essential oils in our home to replace some of the staples. We diffuse oils daily, both for health benefits but also around the holidays instead of using commercial candles and air fresheners. This change has really opened my eyes to the world of essential oils and natural remedies and it is my hope to share more of how we transition to a healthier home.
I’ve been diffusing lavender essential oil at nighttime to help my son sleep for years now and my teens use it and have come to love the lavender essential oil roll-on from Plant Therapy. I am excited to share some of these products with you as part of my 2016 Holiday Gift Guide. As cliched as it sounds, essential oils truly do make a great gift for everyone on your list.
If you’re buying for a new mom or any parent really, the Plant Therapy KidSafe essential oils include so many great options for little ones like Immune Boom, Calming the Child and Sniffle Stopper. A great gift for any parent would be the KidSafe Starter Set, I have had this one for a few days now and we’ve been using it multiple times a day. A+ Attention Blend is diffused when it’s time to focus on homeschool work and a few days ago when he started to have some tummy issues after a trip to the movies (gotta love Autumn germs) I diffused Germ Destroyer throughout the house. This particular blend includes Spruce, Marjoram, Lavender, Rosalina and Lemon. At bedtime I rolled some lavender oil on his feet and diffused Nighty Night. To say that these oils are being used regularly is an understatement, we’re absolutely loving them and I am certain that any mom on your list will love them.
Now, while I truly receive the benefit of these oils as well, they are after all for the well-being of the kiddos, right? So, why not also pamper the mom in your life with a fun gift basket with Plant Therapy Lavender Gift Set. Let’s be real here for a second, I’m a busy mom and I honestly have not had a proper pedicure in over 5 years. That coupled with the fact that here in South Carolina I wear flip-flops year round, my feet could seriously use some pampering. I had the opportunity to try out the lavender set and let me just say, the lavender body cream has been a miracle to my dry, cracked heels! The set includes the body cream and Lavender Aloe jelly that I’m looking forward to using as the weather changes. I imagine it’s a great refresher for your skin after being out in the sun but also to re-hydrate after being out in the cold as well. Additionally you get a pre-diluted lavender roll on AND a 10 ml bottle of lavender oil as well, all for under $30.
Right now Plant Therapy is running a 25 Days of Christmas Deals special, each day through the holiday, you’ll find amazing deals for everyone on your list! I’ll be posting my YouTube review of each of the products mentioned in the blog in a few days as well as an unboxing and review of a few other items in the coming days, so be sure to check back for more from Plant Therapy.
